His Excellency Archbishop
Pedro Lopez Quintana
Titular Archbishop of Agropoli

His Excellency Archbishop Pedro López Quintana was born in
Barbastro, Spain, on 27 July 1953.
-
On 15 June
1980, he was ordained priest by His Holiness Pope John
Paul II, for the Archdiocese of
Santiago de Compostela.
-
He holds a Doctorate in Canon Law
(Angelicum) and Post-Graduation in
Dogmatic Theology (Gregoriana) and entered the Diplomatic
Service of the Holy See on 1 February 1984.

He has served in the Apostolic Nunciatures in Madagascar, in
the Philippines and in India (from 1989 to 1991).

On 7 February 1998, he was appointed Assessor for General
Affairs of the Secretariat of State of the Holy See.

On 12 December 2002, he was elevated titular Archbishop of Agropoli and Apostolic Nuncio.

On 6 January
2003, he was consecrated Archbishop by His
Holiness Pope John Paul II.

On 8 February 2003, he was
appointed Apostolic Nuncio in the
Republic of India and in the Kingdom of Nepal.

Presented Credential to the
President of India, H.E. Abdul Kalam, on 16
April 2003.
